As a Data Analyst - Intellectual Property Digital Services you will be responsible for analyzing and managing IP-related data, developing data automation and dashboards, and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of data within our digital platforms. This role reports to the Director, Global Data Services, and involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance our IP management processes and efficiency.

- Collecting, transforming, and analyzing data from a wide variety of sources to identify trends and patterns, and developing data-driven strategies for incorporating IP data into BASF's business analytics.
- Creating and maintaining databases and dashboards to store, organize, and analyze data, track key performance indicators (KPIs), perform cost analyses, and monitor data trends.
- Generating reports and visualizations to present findings to management and other stakeholders.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and other stakeholders to gather data, understand needs, and develop requirements for reporting and analysis.
- Developing and implementing data quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency, and identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation to increase efficiency and effectiveness of data flow and usage.
- Staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in data analysis to continuously improve methodologies and tools.
If you...
- Hold a bachelor's degree in a related field (such as Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science)
- Have 5+ years of experience applying data science in the legal or intellectual property sectors, with a demonstrated record of successful outcomes
- Are proficient with data analysis tools and software (such as Excel, SQL, Python, and Power BI)
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and presentation skills and organizational skills with great attention to detail
- Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
