Job Description
Responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. Participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation. Reports to the Director, Network and User Services. Supervises Systems Administrators, Automation Developers, Solution Center and Network Telecommunications staff.
a. Experience maintaining Microsoft, VMware, and Linux operating systems
b. Excellent communications skills, both written and oral
c. Ability to plan complex technical implementations.
d. This position is an essential position. Individuals in essential positions can be required to
report to campus during an emergency when travel is limited to essential employees
only. An essential employee verification card is issued to incumbents in this position for
that purpose.
A minimum of six years in network and system administration, which should include technologies such as Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, Server Virtualization, and Active Directory administration.
